Who can apply?

This scholarship is open to students and researchers from East African countries who meet the following criteria:

1. Eligibility requirements:

   • Must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, or Eritrea.

   • Applicants must be pursuing a graduate degree at an accredited institution, preferably located in Sub-Saharan Africa, or have completed their doctoral degree within the past ten years.

   • Research must focus on earth sciences or botany, specifically related to the study of human evolution.

2. Commitment to the Field:

   • Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing a career in their chosen field, with an emphasis on research and teaching in their home country upon completing their studies.
